The Mangrove & Macrobenthos Meeting (MMM4)

MMM is a series of international conferences convened by mangrove scientists and held every 4-6 years.  The focus of the series is on increasing knowledge, conservation, and sustainable usage of mangrove ecosystems.  These meetings began in 2000 to raise awareness about the serious threats facing mangroves worldwide.   The major topic to be discussed and explored at this year's meeting is mangrove ecosystem responses to climate change.

The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) World Conservation Congress meets every 4 years,  bringing together thousands of leaders from government, civil society, indigenous peoples, business, and academia.  The major goals of the congress are to conserve the environment and utilize nature-based solutions to the global challenges that humanity faces.  At each congress over 1,300 member organizations of the IUCN  develop a 4 year work plan to improve the management of our natural resources for human, social and economic development.

The 10th INTECOL International Wetlands Conference – China 2016

The INTECOL (International Association for Ecology) International Wetlands Conference is a conference series led by the WWG (Wetlands Working Group), a specialist group of INTECOL, held every 4 years.  The purposes of the meetings are to review and share research advances in the general area of wetland sciences.  This year's focal topics are wetland biodiversity, the functional role of wetlands in wastewater treatment, wetland restoration, wetland ecosystem services and sustainable development.

8th National Summit on Coastal and Estuarine Restoration and the 25th Biennial Meeting of The Coastal Society

This joint meeting is the second collaboration between Restore America's Estuaries and The Coastal Society.  It brings together both the restoration and the coastal management communities to discuss issues facing the coast and estuaries of the United States.  The collaboration allows participants to learn, expand their networks, and leverage opportunities to find solutions to common coastal and estuarine problems.
