Bali, Indonesia – July 2011
Experts convened in July 2011 in Bali, Indonesia to detail the structure of the Global Coastal Carbon Data Archive, review current scientific data and research gaps for blue carbon, and outline the Field Manual for Carbon Accounting in Mangroves, Seagrasses and Tidal Salt Marshes. The Working Group also met with officials from the Government of Indonesia and provided advice on the creation of a national blue carbon strategy.
