Brussels, Belgium – January 2012

Policy and scientific experts met in January 2012 at the EU Parliament in Brussels to revise and update the first version of the Blue Carbon Policy Framework. The group also identified priority policy activities and products for the three ecosystems as well as identified collaborative opportunities to integrate blue carbon activities on an international
scale.

At this meeting, the European Bureau for Conservation and Development (EBCD), an intergroup of Members of the European Parliament, hosted a panel on blue carbon corresponding to this workshop. Details on the meeting can be found here.
